The interview process with Checkmarx was really disorganized and didn't respect my time. They gave me less than a week for a big home assignment, which meant working late and weekends. It felt too much for a senior role. Then, after I rushed to finish, it took over two weeks just to set up a presentation of my work, which made me wonder why the rush in the first place. During the presentation, one interviewer left early, and the others didn't seem to know my assignment, which was a bummer and showed they weren't prepared. I put in a lot of effort studying the product, prepping, and presenting, but there was no acknowledgment of that. It felt like they were more interested in my ideas than actually hiring me, which was frustrating and unprofessional. The whole hiring process seemed poorly planned and disrespectful of candidate time. It makes you question how the company operates internally. If you're thinking about working at Checkmarx, just know the process might be long and annoying, and they might not even be serious about hiring.

Behavioral Presentation

The interview process is super quick and direct. You'll have a Product Manager interview with a PM leader, then a take-home assignment, and finally, you'll present that assignment. That's the whole thing. The assignment usually involves researching a current solution and then presenting your findings.

A recruiter from Checkmarx contacted me on LinkedIn about an opening. I was looking for a new role, so I agreed to interview. I spoke with the hiring manager and we felt it was a good fit. The next step was a presentation with about 10 slides covering specific items. We then had a meeting where I presented my deck. I got an offer that same day. The whole process was very fast.
