First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CheckedUp.
Account Executive
There were three rounds total, meeting with different people from the company. It was super informative and they really dug deep. You could tell everyone is passionate about the company. Everyone was super nice and took time to answer my questions. Overall, a great process and experience.
- What is it about this role that made you want to apply?
Director of Field Operations
I was first contacted by an outside recruiter. Then, I had three separate calls with four leaders. The first two calls were one-on-one, and they went well. I liked their energy for a startup. For the last round, I had to create and present a 30-60-90 day plan to the four executives. This felt a bit too formal, but I went ahead with it. It took me about 9 hours of work, including help from a career coach, to prepare the plan. I sent it to them a day before the call, but then they rescheduled for a week later due to their other commitments. When we finally had the call, they hadn't even read my plan. I was pretty shocked and felt disrespected. I presented my plan, and they asked some oddly timed and irrelevant questions. The CEO even took a call during our meeting. I didn't get a chance to ask my questions, so I said I'd email them and asked them to review my plan. They passed on me before I heard back about my questions.
- What are your thoughts on strategy and how to scale an organization?
Sales Development Representative
So the process was kinda ridiculous. Had a good phone call, then they made me come in person for the second interview. I don't even live in the city so I had to spend money to commute. It ended up being a 30-minute conversation which was fine and it went well BUT THEY GHOSTED ME LOL. I followed up 3 times and got nothing. It doesn't matter though since I got a way better offer with a company that actually communicates, but it was very disappointing and a waste of time for everyone. Especially since I had to come into the office just for the second interview. Then they reposted the job listing the next day... just tell me I didn't get the job!
- What makes you want to work in health sales?
CRM
So there were 3 rounds in total. Started with a phone screen, then had two in-person interviews. It was pretty standard sales interview stuff. They gave me an offer pretty fast after the interviews. I was asked to do a pitch and try to sell them on it.
