Security Analyst
The interview process was really bad, it felt like they were doing me a favor by talking to me. There was a LeetCode question, and then two technical interviews. They also gave me a home task to analyze some CVEs.
- A generic LeetCode question that can be found online.
- Analyze some CVE
Cyber Security Analyst
The interview was of medium difficulty, and it mostly involved discussions about problem-solving and the OSI layer. The first round was a written test that covered cloud concepts and basic cybersecurity knowledge. In the second round, we talked about projects and Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA). The third round was a managerial interview.
- Can you explain the fundamental principles of cloud computing?
- Discuss arrays and linked lists within Data Structures and Algorithms.
Security Analyst
The interview process had 5 main parts. First, a phone chat with HR about salary expectations. Then, a Codility test with 3 questions, I had 120 minutes to solve them and used Python. After that, a technical interview with the team lead, where I talked about myself and my cyber background, answered questions on cyber definitions, how attacks work, prevention methods, and malware types. They gave me 20 minutes to read a short, new document about a cyber attack and then asked questions on it; this part was about 1 hour total. Next was a homework assignment in Python, which wasn't too hard or long. Finally, an interview with the manager, who explained the role, and I again talked about myself and my cyber background, and they asked questions about my degree. The last step was recommendations; HR asked for 2 references, and I gave them my previous boss's contact info with their permission.
- Can you explain what a rootkit is, how it functions, and whether it is removed after a reboot, including the reasoning?
- Could you tell me about yourself and your experience in cybersecurity?
- What are your salary expectations?
