Business Development Representative
So, the interview process had four stages. It started with HR, then I met with the BDR manager. After that, I had interviews with the Head of Marketing and then finally the Head of Sales. I found that doing your homework, like researching the company and the interviewers, really helps. They also had me do a quick task, which was to draft an email to a potential customer.
- Can you describe a past challenge and how you overcame it?
- Draft an email for a potential client.
Business Development Representative
The interview process was long, 5 steps. But the turn around time was quick. I was referred over by a former colleague. The very next day I had the initial call set up with Ai-Mei who works in Talent. She was the first Talent Manager to make a lasting impression! Ai-Mei is honest, friendly, exciting, driven, and compassionate. She made the interview process fun and was super transparent about everything. She made me feel valued and heard right from the start. I declined offers from other companies because I saw that we share similar visions and I wanted to be part of a team that is forward thinking. I am really excited to be part of this team and I am looking forward to meeting everyone!
- Can you explain your interest in ChartHop?
- What is a skill you possess that you could teach me?
- Describe a situation where you faced and handled rejection.
BDR
The recruiter (Keisha) was really responsive throughout, and even managed to speed things up when I got another offer. Each person I spoke with gave good feedback and let me know if I was moving forward right after the interview. The whole process included a screening call, a written email sequence assignment (I had 24 hours for that), and then three interviews that were each about 30-45 minutes.
- Tell me about how you handle rejection and mistakes.
- Why are you interested in sales?
