It was a regular interview to see if I could wait tables. The process was pretty straightforward. I chatted with the manager to figure out if I was a good fit and if I had the right experience. We also talked about the training involved and how long it would take before I could work shifts by myself. They checked my references and then offered me the job.

Applied online and got a call back the same day. The next week I had an in-person interview that lasted about 1.5 hours. It started with filling out an application and a restaurant knowledge test that included questions about wine/liquor, fish descriptions, and serving directions. Then, the CT and floor manager interviewed me, asking a lot of customer service questions. They also did a tray test to see if I could carry a tray and stand, and a wine bottle presentation test.

Got a call from Chart House a few days after applying. Missed the call so tried calling them back but no answer. Called them back multiple times for an interview and finally got one after calling the restaurant 3 times. Upon getting there, I waited 45 minutes with no apology from the manager who interviewed me, who was different than the one I spoke with on the phone. After our interview was over, he asked me to come back the next day for a second round interview, and I did not show as I felt disrespected during the first interview.
