Behavioral Presentation

It was a relaxed, three-round interview process where I interviewed one-on-one with the CEO. Most of the interview involved resume questions and then personal questions about work ethic, goals, etc. It was a very comfortable environment, however, I wasn't really told exactly what the job entailed. The interviews were really just about getting to know me.

Behavioral Presentation

The first interview was pretty chill, good vibes and atmosphere. The interviewer was young. The office is nice and has high energy, you could hear music. The interview itself was easy and welcoming. They don't give you all the details about the job until the second interview, which is a job shadowing day. This job is for you if you can excel going business to business. If you can't handle being outside a lot selling to small businesses, then it's not for you. It wasn't for me. The first interview is easy, but the second interview, the shadowing day, is where it can get tricky.

HR Manager called me first and asked a few things about my application and resume. Then she set me up with Alex for a preliminary interview. Alex and I talked for 25 minutes. He asked about my short-term and long-term goals and explained the position in more detail, including how their contract works with STAPLES. He also discussed what he's looking for in a sales and marketing assistant and mentioned the potential for quick advancement within the company. I was then invited back for a second round interview. In that second interview, he asked a few questions that weren't too difficult but made me think about myself and my future aspirations.

It was two rounds. The first round was about my resume and getting to know me. The second round was a rundown of the position and how I'd fit. It wasn't too hard if you're chill and comfortable. I decided this job wasn't for me, but it'd be great for some people. They were clear you'd learn a lot but would have to work for it, which is fine. Advice: ask questions! Sales and marketing can be confusing, so it's important to know what you're signing up for.
