Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Charles Schwab.
Project Manager
The interview process was smooth with a good number of questions, and they provided great accommodation. The employees were friendly, and not too many people were involved. The office conditions were great, the location was easy to find, and the surroundings were nice. We even got great weather, which was a bonus! The whole experience was handled very professionally.

Project Manager
I applied online and a week later, I got a call to set up an HR interview. The first interview was a 30-minute phone call with HR. She told me she'd pass my info to the hiring manager and call me back if they were interested to set up the next interview. A week after that, I got a call and interviewed with the hiring manager over the phone the next day. Two days after that, I had my final phone interview with the hiring manager's boss, which lasted about an hour. The whole thing took about 3 weeks. Everyone seemed really interested, and I had a good time talking with them. Within two days, I got a verbal offer, and it was a good one. I asked for a few extra things (just for kicks), and they agreed right away. Be ready to negotiate what you want so you can wrap up the offer quickly.
- Can you start by telling us about yourself?
- What makes you the ideal candidate for this position?
- How would your references describe your work and character?
Project Manager
The interview process was like speed dating for jobs. We arrived about 10-20 mins apart. There were 4 interviewers. Recruiters took us to an office for a 10-min one-on-one with each interviewer. They did back-to-back interviews all morning.
- How do you build trust with colleagues and what do you do when there are trust issues?
- How do you develop trust with co workers and handle situations with trust issues?
