Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Charles Schwab.
Customer Service Representative
The process was pretty straightforward and the people interviewing me were really nice and helpful. It went like this: first, I applied, then took an assessment, had a phone interview, followed by an in-person interview. After that, there was an offer, a background check, and finally, finger prints and a drug test.
- What makes you want to join Charles Schwab?
Customer Service Representative
It was a very strange interview process that left me feeling very uncertain about the job. Overall, it was a very poor experience, and the woman who interviewed me was extremely hard to understand because of her accent.
- They wanted you to answer all questions using the STAR method.
Customer Service Representative
It was a pretty chill interview, a panel setup. They started with regular, basic questions, and then moved into situational stuff. I asked about company culture, stats, and how often people leave, but the interviewer didn't know. We were in an office with big windows, and you could see people on the floor chatting a lot instead of working.
- How would you handle an angry customer who can't access their account?
