Recruiter got back to me quickly. Scheduling was a bit of a hassle, involving a lot of back-and-forth and missed calls. Everyone I spoke with was really nice. It started with a phone interview, then another one, and finally an in-person meeting with some of the team members.

It felt more like a chat than a formal interview. They were focused on seeing if my personality would match the department I applied for, rather than grilling me. I went for both Lab Assistant and Research Assistant roles, and had a 3-part meeting with people from different departments so they could figure out the best fit for me. They mentioned they'd assess me for the higher position (Research Assistant) since I have a bachelor's degree, which was a good sign they wanted me to utilize my skills. They shared the benefits package info during the interview, and the people I met seemed genuinely interested in talking with me. It was a really positive and motivating experience.

So, the interview had two parts: first, a phone call, and then they asked me to come in for an in-person meeting. The first part was pretty standard, where I got to ask my questions about the job, what they expect, and the company vibe. The second part was a little out there, though, because they asked me some personal stuff, like what I get up to on weekends. They weren't creepy or anything, but it was unexpected. My interviewer said it was to get to know me better outside of work, but still, it was kinda weird. Overall though, it was a good experience, and I'm hopeful about joining them soon!
