Had a technical test before the face-to-face interview. During the interview, the hiring manager seemed defensive when I asked about the job description, making me feel like there was a lot to hide. She then questioned my own questions, asking why I was asking and if I had a problem, which felt like I wasn't allowed to ask questions. I tried to turn some questions back to her, and she became silent, unable to answer. If certain information is sensitive, she could have just said so instead of making it a whole thing. Her tone and word choice felt condescending, giving me a bad vibe about the team culture she might create. Considering how the company presented itself as a product testing partner for many other companies, the salary offer was surprisingly below market rate for the responsibilities expected.

It started with a phone call where we introduced ourselves, talked generally, and covered my work history and when I could start. Then, I went in for an in-person interview where they asked me detailed questions about my skills, abilities, attitude, and experience, as well as questions specific to the job. There were also online tests to see if I had the skills they were looking for that didn't come up in the interviews.

It was a formal interview, but they made me feel pretty comfortable the whole time. The actual interview part wasn't super long, maybe about 30 minutes, and then I got a quick tour of the place. It did take a bit to hear back about the job offer, but I guess that's probably because of how many people applied.
