Senior Manager
I went through 8 interview rounds, including 2 take-home cases, spread over 6 weeks. It really felt like ChargePoint was trying hard to find reasons NOT to hire me, rather than reasons to hire me. The initial rounds with the hiring manager, a case study, and a team member were pretty standard and moved fast. But then, things really slowed down. It wasn't uncommon to wait up to 10 days without hearing anything, and then they'd just pick up where they left off. I ended up interviewing with 4 VPs and the CXO. The vibe from senior leadership was really off-putting. Multiple people made jokes about my previous employers, other companies I was considering, and people lacking certain experience. It was awkward. ChargePoint's offer was surprisingly low (way below market for my experience), only covering base salary and equity with no bonuses or 401k match. They wouldn't negotiate and then gave me only 48 hours to decide. I turned it down and took a job elsewhere that paid more and actually made me feel appreciated. ChargePoint has great products and a good name, but they seem to have significant issues with how they handle talent acquisition and retention.

Manager
The interview process had multiple rounds and was very organized and fast. The recruiter was really good at communicating with me the whole time. I enjoyed meeting a lot of the team I'd be working with, and also people from other teams. I got a good sense of the job before accepting.

Policy Manager
I applied online and heard back the next day to schedule a phone screen for the following day. The first round was a quick HR screen that lasted less than 10 minutes. They mainly asked about salary expectations, confirmed my work location was acceptable, and outlined the interview stages. Interestingly, the recruiter called 8 minutes before our scheduled time, which was a bit inconvenient. About a week later, I had a phone interview with the VP of the function, which was supposed to be 30-45 minutes but felt rushed and lasted only 20 minutes because the VP was running late due to HR scheduling. The third round was supposed to be with the immediate supervisor a week after the VP call, but they missed the scheduled time. We rescheduled for the next day, and the interview felt a bit disorganized and went off-topic, as they didn't seem to have prepared questions. I had already accepted another job offer by this point, so I withdrew my application. I was initially told there would be four rounds in total. The overall process felt chaotic with scheduling issues, which made me question the company's organization.
