First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Champion Window.
Sales Representative
It started with a phone chat with the recruiter, then a teams call with the sales manager. After that, they scheduled a 4 week training to be done over zoom for onboarding. The process was easy if you know your stuff.
- Are you open to working every night and most Saturdays?
Sales
This was a POOR interview experience! The company's instability became clear through my questions. They've had many CEOs recently, lots of senior managers were fired, and their finances are shaky. They're also unclear about compensation, playing games instead of being upfront about what they offer. I talked to past and current employees who confirmed about 90% negative and 10% positive things. The recruiters had poor follow-up too, which is unacceptable. They need to be direct, honest, and have a positive outlook. Their current methods to attract needed talent feel desperate, like they're trying to save a failing company. I am declining their offer.
- Standard interview questions 101 were asked.
Sales Representative
I sent in my application online and heard back from the recruiter about two weeks later for an initial screening. Then there was another call that focused more on product knowledge about general windows and doors. The last interview was in person with the hiring manager. The whole thing took about a month.
- What qualities do you think define a successful salesperson?
- Could you share an instance where you had to handle a customer complaint, and describe your approach?
