It was really thorough, with a bunch of steps, starting with HR. Honestly, keeping in touch was a bit of a struggle, and it took up a lot of my time and I had to be super flexible. I even had to follow up a few times to get an update at the end.

I had two initial phone screens (with the Recruiter and Research Manager) followed by an in-person interview where I met the Recruiter, Research Manager, VP of Client Services and two Associate Researchers. Everyone was really nice and made the process feel relaxed and professional. They asked questions mainly about my background, my interest in the role, and what I could bring from my previous experience. They were very accommodating with my schedule since I was interviewing from out of town and patient while I considered their offer against another. They seemed genuine about the role, and if you're prepared to talk about yourself, you should do well.

I had forgotten I applied to the role by the time they contacted me. The interview process was fairly straightforward. It started with an initial phone screen, followed by an in person interview and an "attention to detail test." Then there was a second in person interview with management and more PM's. Finally, they did a reference check. The process itself was easy, but negotiating was more difficult. The initial offer was literally below the initial range I gave during the phone screen. By the time they came up to a reasonable offer, I had been offered a competing offer from my current role that was superior to the offer from CMB.
