Graduate Scheme
First I had to answer questions on the website and upload my CV and cover letter. A few weeks later, I had a phone call with them, but I haven't heard anything back since that phone interview.
- Tell me what you know about CH2M.
Graduate Scheme
The phone interview happened soon after I sent my CV. It was with an HR person and the questions felt pretty general, more like a casual chat than a formal interview. I really liked the whole thing. The HR person even gave me some useful tips for future interviews. Then, I had to wait three months to hear back. They told me I'd passed the first stage and they'd let me know once they finalized the exact positions they were hiring for. After another two months, they sent me a list of jobs to pick from. However, I had already decided to look elsewhere by that point.
- What were your biggest challenges during university?
- Can you share an example of a problem you solved independently?
- Tell me about a time you solved a problem as part of a team.
Graduate Scheme
I applied using the Debut app, and they reached out to me, putting me straight into an interview. It was basically a longer application form with standard questions, not technical at all. Since I was selected as a general 'graduate', I didn't know much about the specific role beforehand. I had to ask them which role they thought I'd be good for based on my Debut profile, but it wasn't what I was looking for career-wise, so I didn't end up getting an offer.
- Why did you decide to study your degree?
- Could you describe your previous work experience?
- What university modules have you completed that are relevant to this role?
