I went through several rounds of interviews about a year ago, but unfortunately, I didn't make it. The interviewers were really nice and helpful, and they were quite professional. They asked questions that were relevant to the job and clearly explained what they were looking for.

First, there was a phone call, pretty relaxed and straightforward. Then, an in-person interview with directors. We started with introductions, then they gave a brief overview of the company, current and future projects relevant to the role. After that, they asked several questions to assess my technical knowledge, like asking about the risk management process in BSI IT baseline protection and the meaning of acronyms like DLP and HSM.

It was a really bad interview experience, totally unprofessional and with inexperienced managers. We talked for forty-five minutes on a conference call, mostly on speakerphone, so it was hard to hear. I've never had a 45-minute phone interview before, especially not on the East Coast. One of the interviewers seemed really annoyed. I'm from the East Coast and have only been in Cleveland for two years. They completely ignored my awesome experience from back home and instead zeroed in on the one job I had when I first moved here. Honestly, I'm so glad I didn't get the job, it just wasn't meant to be.
