First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CeX Webuy Entertainment.
Software Engineer
We had 3 rounds. The first was a technical virtual round where they asked basic questions about MVC, Web API, Javascript, C#, and SQL. The second was an HR round, which was a normal 'tell me about yourself' type of interview. The third was a techno-managerial round with scenario-based questions, focusing on application security and performance improvement.
- Can you explain how to enhance application performance?
- What are the key steps for building a secure application?
- How do you protect web applications against hacker attacks?
Software Engineer
The whole process lasted about a week and had 3 rounds. The first round went well, and the interviewer was great, sharing useful knowledge about technologies. The last round was also good, but I'm not sure why I was rejected. I really wanted to work here. All the best.
- Could you answer some basic C# questions about MVC?
- Can you explain the uses of Loops and Operators?
- Do you know SQL joins?
Software Engineer
Got a direct call from the company recruiter and went through several rounds: a technical phone screen, HR, then technical round one, followed by a technical round with the lead. The HR initially mentioned all rounds would be on the same day but later required an in-person visit for the final round. They asked technical questions related to my profile. The lead's technical round wasn't very in-depth. The HR talked a lot about the company and its culture, making many promises, which made me realize that many positive Glassdoor reviews might be from their internal employee experience team. It's advisable not to fall for their promises as there seems to be a disconnect between HR and the hiring managers regarding actual hiring needs. The HR tries to convince you about things they can't control, which initially creates a good impression, but it's not the reality. I cleared all rounds, but they never extended an offer or provided any feedback, highlighting their unprofessionalism, and the HR had no explanation. To avoid wasting your time, I suggest not participating in their selection process. Additionally, the company benefits are limited, as informed by HR. While HR seemed proud of their office, it felt more like a garage than a development center.
- Could you discuss general OOPS concepts?
