We started with a tour of the plant, which took about 30 minutes to an hour. Then there were behavioral questions. The interview process included 2 phone interviews, one with HR and another with the hiring manager, followed by a panel interview with department managers.

Process Engineer
I interviewed for the Process Engineer role in CertainTeed's Technical Development Program. The interview process had three parts. The first was a phone interview with the recruiter, where I discussed my background and learned about the development program. The second was a more technical phone interview with an engineer, focusing on my background and experiences. The final part was an on-site interview, which included two interviews with the HR manager and the technical manager I would report to, followed by a plant tour. The entire process took about 3 weeks and felt like casual conversations rather than formal interviews. It was a good experience overall.
- Can you tell me about your background?
Process Engineer
The interview process started with an HR round focusing on basic questions. This was followed by a plant tour where I met with the Factory Manager and Division Engineer. Finally, there was an Executive Call with the HR Director for behavioural questions.
- Can you introduce yourself?
- Can you tell me more about your background based on your resume?
- Do you have any basic behavioral questions for me?
