Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Centric Consulting.
Project Manager
HR called first and talked a lot about the company's pros and how it's a flexible 8-hour workday. Then I had a great interview with a senior person. The next day, I followed up with HR for feedback, but they casually said the position was on hold. It was a really disappointing experience.
- Can you discuss your experience with Java, .Net Development, O365, Cloud, and AWS?
Project Manager
The interview process was in two parts: first with the Centric Team, then with potential clients. I started with a Centric recruiter who checked my technical background and experience, and also assessed my fit with Centric. Then, I had a phone interview with a Business Unit VP, which felt more like a personality and communication style check. This was followed by two in-person meetings with Business Unit partners where I discussed my experience and future aspirations. They emphasized that Centric values self-starters who can create their own success and be an asset. Client interviews were straightforward, and Centric prepared me well. The process can be long with sometimes inconsistent communication, but it's worth it.
- Can you walk me through your previous work experience?
- What's motivating your departure from your current role?
Project Manager
The interview was set up really fast, with only about 2 hours notice. The interviewer was kind of rude and seemed like she was looking for any excuse to reject me from the start. She asked me to turn on my camera, but she kept hers off. She also gave me some feedback that I didn't ask for.
- Can you tell me about your experience with Project Management?
- What project management certifications do you hold?
- Describe your experience with People Management.
