The interview process was pretty standard. First, I spoke with someone from HR, and then I interviewed with someone more involved in the role. The HR person was nice, but asked some illegal questions like 'do you live alone', 'do you have a family you live with', 'do you rent or own a home,' which made me uncomfortable and seemed like a red flag because HR should know better! Then I interviewed with someone else at the company who seemed very involved in the role. He was nice but appeared bored and disengaged. He said they'd get back to me by the middle of the following week, but they didn't. I had the contact info, so I reached out for an update. I got a rejection email from HR within a few hours. It makes me question the company when they give a specific timeline to hear back and then don't follow through. The whole process left a bad taste in my mouth with how it was handled.

I applied online and heard back a few weeks later for a quick initial screening call. Then, I had a call with the HR coordinator to set up an interview with the hiring manager, which was an hour and a half long and focused on digital marketing. The HR coordinator called again a week later to schedule a second interview with another team member in their east coast office. That interview was also an hour and a half, and we discussed the job, work environment, and current trends in digital marketing. A week after that, HR contacted me to arrange more interviews at their corporate office in CA. They covered my flight, car service, and hotel. The interview day itself was about five hours long and involved multiple staff and management members, including the Marketing Manager, Digital Marketing Manager, Division Manager, and Hiring Manager, each interviewing me for 45-60 minutes. It was a long day, but everyone was nice and it wasn't stressful. After waiting about a week or more with no response, I emailed my HR contact to ask about the position. I immediately received a rejection email, which was disappointing given the time and resources invested by both sides. The experience itself was okay, just very time-consuming.

So first, I had two 30-minute phone chats, one with an HR person and the other with the hiring manager. They basically wanted to see if my past experiences and personality fit and why I was interested in CG&P. Then, after a few weeks, I had 1:1 interviews with three people from the brand management team and one more HR person. Each of these was about 45 minutes and focused on behavioral questions about my past successes.
