Centerview Partners has a two-round interview process. Round one has two 30-minute interviews with an Analyst and Associate, focusing on your resume, experiences, teamwork, and some basic finance/valuation questions. Round two also has two 30-minute interviews, this time with an Associate and an MD, still covering behavioral and basic technical topics to see if you fit the company culture and could grow there. First round was a Skype interview with two analysts. It was mostly technical questions with some standard fit questions. They asked about DCF and accounting. Then they asked simple fit questions that are necessary for any interview. They also seem to like brain teasers though. They asked me in the first round what percentage of Chicago is covered in concrete.

So, I'm from a non-target school and went through two back-to-back 30 minute phone interviews. One was with an Analyst and the other with an Associate. It was pretty technical overall, with just a bit of fit questions. They had me walk through my resume. Since I had an investment banking internship, they asked a lot about that experience. We spent a good amount of time discussing different models, focusing heavily on DCF and briefly on a merger model. Then, there were about 5-7 minutes of math questions. I then moved to the next interviewer, which was pretty much the same: resume, internship, DCF. No math questions this time, and only a few minutes on fit. Unfortunately, I didn't move forward after those interviews, and the feedback was very limited.
