It was a series of 7 interviews/meet and greets that lasted 30 minutes each. The interviews felt more like conversations than Q&As, focusing on getting to know me while also sharing about their own career paths. They provided a lot of information about the company culture, set clear expectations for the role, gave a detailed overview of my responsibilities, and were upfront about travel opportunities and requirements. They made sure everything was clear and nothing was left uncertain. Additionally, everyone I spoke with offered to answer any further questions I might have.

I applied and got an email within a week about the first interview with the hiring manager, who also sent some questions. I answered those and set up the call within 24 hours. After that call, a second hiring manager interview was set up and done within 48 business hours. It went well, but then the recruiter went quiet. I waited about two weeks to hear back before emailing them. They didn't reply to emails or calls for over 4 weeks, and then they were like, 'Wait, which job was this again... oh right, the team is still interviewing.' A few hours after that, I found out I didn't get the job. The whole recruiting and interview thing was really disorganized, or maybe the recruiting team just doesn't care about how candidates feel.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

Applied online early May, HR called 2 weeks later. Scheduled interview with hiring manager for a week later. Had to reschedule with hiring manager to the beginning of next week due to company issues. Hiring manager interview was conversational, focused on the critical nature of the role and their need to fill it by end of June/early July due to seasonality. Hiring manager noted my expertise. Final step was speaking with a peer in a similar role in another part of the business. Peer mentioned there were 2 openings and only 2 candidates, clarifying it wasn't a formal test but an opportunity to learn about the role's day-to-day expectations. Was told HR would take a week for an offer, 1-2 weeks for background check, and 4-5 weeks for tech setup. Initially impressed with the efficiency. Hiring manager specifically mentioned not wanting to parade me in front of irrelevant people, hence only speaking with the peer. Process stalled after that; recruiter responses were vague ('haven't heard from HM,' 'thanks for patience, hope to have update soon'). Emailed HM directly with no response. After 2 months of silence (now mid-July), it's been 2 weeks since the last update promising news soon, with nothing further. Noticed the job reposted, questioning the lack of a simple decline. Considering accepting an offer and delaying new hire paperwork/background check until the start date to teach them a lesson about wasting time.
