Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Centauri.
Systems Administrator
The interview process was straightforward and efficient, one of the best I've experienced. It started with a recruiter conversation, followed by a 30-minute phone interview with the hiring manager. Then, there was an in-person meeting with a leadership member and my potential manager. I felt at ease throughout the entire experience. IAI is a great company!
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this position?
- How would your colleagues describe you in a single word?
Systems Engineer
The initial part of the interview process was quite good. I interviewed, met with senior management, and spoke with the security team. I was told I'd be contacted in a few weeks about project assignments. About a month later, HR called with an offer that met my salary expectations, including a bonus. Their hiring process is unique because they hire when a contract is available, which took HR about 4 months to reach out about an opening. By then, I had accepted another position. I asked if they had any security-focused roles and they called back 8 months later with a relevant job description. I was interested, but HR went silent on communication regarding that role. I followed up but received no response. As a cleared Systems/Network engineer in high demand, it's surprising to see this unprofessionalism from HR. I won't pursue this company further, despite their interesting work.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
- Can you discuss your technical background?
- What are your career aspirations for this role?
Systems Engineer
I met with the CEO, COO, and some senior managers. They gave me an overview of the company, and then I answered questions in a panel interview.
