Systems Engineer
The initial part of the interview process was quite good. I interviewed, met with senior management, and spoke with the security team. I was told I'd be contacted in a few weeks about project assignments. About a month later, HR called with an offer that met my salary expectations, including a bonus. Their hiring process is unique because they hire when a contract is available, which took HR about 4 months to reach out about an opening. By then, I had accepted another position. I asked if they had any security-focused roles and they called back 8 months later with a relevant job description. I was interested, but HR went silent on communication regarding that role. I followed up but received no response. As a cleared Systems/Network engineer in high demand, it's surprising to see this unprofessionalism from HR. I won't pursue this company further, despite their interesting work.
- Can you walk me through your resume?
- Can you discuss your technical background?
- What are your career aspirations for this role?
Senior Scientist
I had an informal visit first, which included a company and benefits overview. The company seemed great, and the benefits were top-notch. The staff were really friendly and organized, making me feel welcome. They clearly communicated their values, centered around "Integrity: Above and Beyond," which I really connected with. I applied that same evening and was invited for a formal interview the next week. A few days later, I got an offer via email and a call from HR. My current employer tried to keep me, leading to some negotiation. Ultimately, the supportive culture and Integrity's commitment to employee growth, which was missing at my previous job, convinced me to accept.
- This was a "getting to know you" session for both sides.
- Can you share more about your background and technical experience, given your previous work with some of us?
Imagery Analyst
I sent in my application to IAI in early December 2013, and it took about a month for them to get back to me. In late January 2014, I went through interviews with several people, including security, HR, and finally a Project Manager. The entire interview process spanned about two days and happened pretty much back-to-back. The Project Manager I spoke with was very direct with their questions, and nothing really surprised me. If you understand the technical aspects of your role and are familiar with your resume, you should be fine. After the interviews, it took about a week for HR to let me know I got the job, and then I signed the offer.
- Can you describe the most stressful aspect of your current job and explain how you manage it?

IAI's interview process is a bit different. You'll usually have a panel of senior leaders from the company (like the President or Vice President) and a couple of people who you might be working with or for. They spend about 30-45 minutes introducing themselves and talking about the company. Then, they'll have you present your work history from the last 5-10 years and ask some standard interview questions. Finally, they'll open it up for you to ask them questions.
- What are three words your friends would use to describe you?
