Case Manager
I sent in my resume. A recruiter from Mindlance reached out to see if they could put me forward for the role. He was hard to understand as he was from another country. After I agreed to let him represent me, about 4 other recruiters called with the same offer, and I could understand these ones. The first phone interview was short and asked basic things about having a valid Nursing License, which states, areas of experience, and how many years of experience I have. The second interview was in person with the manager and a supervisor. The third interview was with the manager's male Director.
- In how many states do you hold a nursing license?
- Are there any restrictions on any of your nursing licenses?
- What are your long-term career aspirations?
Manager
I applied online and still waiting for a final determination. After applying, I had an HR interview where we reviewed my resume and they evaluated me for the position level. HR said I would advance. A week later, a Sr. Manager wanted to speak with me the next morning. I rearranged my work schedule and took the call. This conversation focused on what I could offer the company, why I was applying, and my reasons for leaving my current job. The Sr. Manager wanted to move me to a panel interview. Two weeks after that, I received an invite for a 2-part panel interview scheduled for the next day. I declined because I was out of town on business and rescheduled for my return. The panel was supposed to have 4 people, but only 2 were available. The interview covered how I'd handle people and stress. Then, I interviewed with the Hiring Manager. This was a short interview about team fit. She said I was qualified and asked about the team size and responsibilities. I said yes. They said they'd let me know by Tuesday. On Wednesday, HR emailed stating they missed the panel interview and wanted to interview me again. I proposed times for Wed, Thurs, and Fri, but all were declined. We settled on the following Tuesday. We met, and I answered more questions about fit and handling difficult team members. I asked about hearing back, and HR said by the end of that week. Three weeks later, no response. I emailed the recruiter, who apologized for the delay and set up a feedback meeting. That day passed without any meeting. I understand I didn't get the job, but after 5 interviews and me rearranging my schedule, a simple rejection would have been appreciated. It's very disappointing. Be aware that your time and effort may not be respected if you apply.
- Tell me how you would handle your staff.
- How do you handle stress?
- What can you bring to our company?
Senior Manager
The interview was pretty average, and they asked pretty average questions. The person interviewing me was reading off questions from a form. I was interviewed by a panel, and they pretty much asked the same questions as the first interview.
- How would you handle difficult vendors or employees?
