Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Celgard.
Manufacturing Technician
Went through four interviews with different people, and it was basically the same behavioral interview each time. You should be ready to answer variations of the same questions. The first interview is just a quick chat with a recruiter. Then you have another interview with a different recruiter, and after that, it's either a one-on-one or a group interview.
- Can you share an instance where you didn't meet a deadline?
Manufacturing Technician
We had group interviews. It's good to have answers ready for scenarios about safety, teamwork, and quality. Safety is really important and was asked about a lot during the interview, along with quality and what it means to you. Make sure to be on time, dress professionally, and smile a lot.
- Can you share a safety scenario?
- Tell me about a time you worked in a team.
- What does quality mean to you?
Manufacturing Technician
Celgard requires candidates to complete the Wonderlic test and a math test. After that, there's a pre-interview followed by an onsite interview. The interviews consist entirely of behavioral questions, often starting with 'Tell me about a time when...'. The initial interview is typically with a recruiter, and subsequent interviews are with 2 or 3 managers.
- Can you describe a situation where you failed to meet a task deadline and how you dealt with not completing your work on time?
