Systems Analyst
Got interviewed by a recruiter first, and then the account manager wanted to talk to me. He didn't really go into the job details, but instead asked about my past experience at Telecom companies and how I got into this field. In the end, he said he'd keep me in mind for the future, but it wasn't clear why I wasn't moving forward.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What would you consider your dream job?
Business Analyst
A recruiter reached out about a senior business analyst role. First, I had a chat with the recruiter about the job details, salary, and stuff. Then, I spoke with a senior Celerity person over the phone, digging into my career and project experience. The final stage was an in-person interview with more senior Celerity folks, mainly to see if I'd be a good fit. It felt a lot like the initial recruiter chat, with some questions about my past work too. I thought it went well and they were into me, but I never heard back either way, so maybe I misread that.
- What is it you're hoping to find in a new position?
- Could you go over your previous work experience?
- Can you walk me through your educational background?

The interview process was super fast. I got a response from the VP of Recruiting within a week of applying. We emailed for a day to schedule the phone interview. The recruiter was really nice on the phone and gave me a lot of info about Celerity and what the job would involve. She asked some specific questions about my resume, showing she'd actually read it. The call lasted about 30-45 minutes, and then we set up an in-person interview. I got to the office a bit before the 8 AM start time for the in-person, but the office doors were locked and the receptionist wasn't there yet, so I waited in the restroom. Once 8 AM hit, I tried the doors again and was greeted by a friendly receptionist who knew I was coming. I filled out some paperwork, and as soon as I was done, the interviewer (a different person than the phone recruiter) was ready. After that interview, I met with the person I'd spoken to on the phone. Both interviewers were really nice and seemed prepared. They also gave me a clear job description.
