Managed Services Specialist
There were several virtual meetings with leadership, including the CEO and President. After those, you go onsite for 4-5 in-person interviews. They tie everything back to their staffing business and think that process applies to all IT areas. Then, a background check and a meeting with legal to finalize things before an offer. They have a strict non-compete agreement that isn't even enforceable, but you can negotiate its terms with legal.

Software Engineer
This was a campus placement for a Software Engineer Trainee role with a salary of 5 LPA in Chennai. The process had 4 rounds. First, a written test on campus covering logical reasoning, aptitude, technical MCQs, SQL, and algorithms. Second, a technical round also on campus where we had to solve 4 coding questions (medium to hard difficulty, including sliding window and coin change problems) and get at least 3 right. Third, a technical interview conducted on-site in Chennai. Finally, an HR interview, also on-site in Chennai.
- Can you tell me how to find the total amount of water trapped between the edges?
QA Engineer
It was a really good and easy interview process. It was all based on my previous work experience. First, an HR person contacted me. Then, I went through two technical rounds and one final discussion round with some employees from CEI America. All three rounds were completed in three consecutive days. They were really quick with the results and setting up the next steps.
- Can you tell me about the projects you are currently working on?
- What kind of work have you done in your current organization?
Corporate Recruiter
I interviewed with CEI for a Director of Corporate Recruiting role and I think I faced unlawful discrimination because I'm a young woman. They asked me some illegal questions like “Why do you need to work from home? Do you have young kids at home or something?” and “You look very young, this Director role would be a great fit for you.” I met with 7 men who are all in leadership positions at the company, and I'm not aware of any women in leadership there. They told me after the interview they were going to put an offer together, but then called me a few days later to say they weren't making an offer because I asked to work from home, even though I had already agreed to be in the office 5 days a week. The other male recruitment lead is allowed to work from home a few days a week, and he told me that multiple times. They also asked me how much I currently make and then told me they base offers on current salary, not the job's worth. They hired a man instead. If you're a woman, I'd stay away from this organization.
