First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CDW.
Solutions Architect
The interview process was straightforward and provided good feedback. It was very structured and consistent. There were 4 interviews in total, including a presentation. The recruiter was professional, and the timing was as communicated. I didn't encounter any issues; they handle this aspect very well.
- Can you describe what your initial 90 days in this role would entail?
Solutions Architect
The interview process was really smooth and interactive. The team was super technically skilled and asked some really challenging and interesting questions. I'm now waiting to hear back about the feedback and any further negotiations.
- Can you tell me about your technical experience with implementing tools and any issues you encountered?
- Describe the problems you have faced while working on tool implementations.
Solutions Architect
The interview process involved three stages: a recruiter call, a hiring manager interview, and a technical review. Despite not receiving an offer, the applicant felt misled by promises made by CDW's management and recruiting staff. The recruiter offered concierge-like support and promised feedback if no offer was extended, while the hiring manager offered a personal post-interview review. After the technical review, there was a 2-3 week period of silence. The applicant's attempts to get an update from the recruiter resulted in a generic email instead of the promised personalized feedback. This lack of follow-through left a negative impression.
- Technical questions were straightforward. If you understand your industry, you should be fine.
- The management and recruiter interviews focused on personality and background.
- Tell me about yourself.
