Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CDW.
Sales Associate
The whole interview was virtual. It involved a video question where I had to respond in 3 minutes. There were questions about cultural fit and very few technical ones.
- Tell me about a time you had to deal with conflict.
- What are your best skills?
Sales Associate
Started with a video interview with some basic questions about how you think and handle situations. If selected, there was a 1 on 1 meeting, then meeting with managers. It seemed like a typical sales interview, so be ready to take charge and do in-depth work.
- Could you tell me about your previous role at XYZ company?
Sales Associate
There were 3 interviews in total. First, a quick 10-minute phone call with a recruiter to see if it was a good match. Second, a 30-45 minute phone interview with the recruiter where they asked about what CDW is and does, along with situational, behavioral, and hypothetical questions. Third, a 45 minute to 1 hour in-person interview with the hiring manager who asked more situational, behavioral, and hypothetical questions. The process was very well organized and detailed.
- Tell me about a goal you set for yourself and how you achieved it.
- Describe a time you successfully upsold a product.
- What can you tell me about what CDW does?
