Account Representative
I started with an HR rep who checked if I could legally work where I applied. We talked about my communication and language abilities, went over my past jobs, and they asked me why I thought I'd be good at this job. The next day, HR let me know I had another interview scheduled with the Sales Manager, but it took over two weeks to set up. This manager was really nice and asked more in-depth behavioral questions, focusing on what I'd achieved and learned from my last job and school. They also told me about the training involved. After that, I checked back with HR and they said I did well and would have a final interview with the Senior Sales Manager. This person asked similar questions about my successes and struggles, and also gave me a lot of detail about their sales environment and how the sales department is set up. I got to ask some questions at the end, and that was it. A couple of weeks after I followed up, HR told me I got the job and sent over the offer letter and the next steps. The first HR chat was about 40 mins, the Sales Manager interview was about an hour, and the Senior Sales Manager interview was about 1 hr 10 mins. Everyone was super friendly, and I felt comfortable the whole time.
- Why are you a good fit for this position?
- What makes you a suitable candidate for this role?
Account Representative
The entire hiring process took a grueling 10 months to complete. It started with one recruiter prescreen, followed by a recruiter interview, and culminated in an assessment day. Recruiters actually changed midway through my application. What's really frustrating is that true entry-level candidates are forced to compete against individuals with 5+ years of experience for the same role, even though it's labeled as "entry level." Sadly, only two women advanced to the final round out of a pool of 20 candidates. I was ultimately rejected for "not being interested in the position enough," which is baffling considering I was prepared to wait the full 10 months for an offer.
- In a group setting, argue why your selected celebrity deserves to remain on the boat and avoid drowning, given that half the participants will be removed.
Account Representative
It was a pretty standard process with four interviews. I spoke with the recruiter, then an Account Manager, followed by a Senior Account Manager, and finally the Director. No IT technical knowledge was needed for any of the questions. The recruiter was responsive.
- Given two customers, one a high-value prospect with no prior business, and another a loyal, low-spending customer, which would you prioritize?
