Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CCSI.
Recruiter
I had three interviews in total. Two were with the Recruiting Manager, and the last one was with the Branch Manager. The interviews were good experiences; they did a great job explaining the industry, the role itself, what they expect from me, and how the salary and commission structure works.
- What is your primary motivation and how do you deal with rejection?
Technical Recruiter
I submitted my resume through Indeed, not realizing the company profile wasn't the actual company. I had one interview with two people, one more intense than the other. There weren't any behavioral or technical questions, just straightforward questions about me and my attitude. They didn't ask about my college or academic performance. Surprisingly, after the interview, I received an offer. I had to choose between this offer and another from a fast-food restaurant, and I accepted the one from the fast-food place.
- Would you be okay with receiving unusual emails, whether they are spam or from management?
Recruiter
I interviewed with someone who mentioned that the company has had a high turnover rate, with 4 managers in the past year, some leaving after only a month or two. Then, I spoke with the Sales Manager, who initially claimed their turnover is low despite the industry norm, but then admitted over half of their staff has been there for less than a year. They said it's a small company, which is what I'm looking for. When I asked about meeting the President, I was told she rarely comes in, so that wouldn't happen. If the high turnover didn't deter me, the intense staring from the interviewer certainly did. They didn't ask about my past work at all; their focus was solely on trying to sell the company to me.
- What makes you want to be a recruiter?
- Would you be alright with working many hours and late nights?
