Client Engagement Specialist
I got reached out to by the General Manager on LinkedIn about a job that they thought I'd be interested in. We had a quick phone call and they said they'd get back to me. After that, I had a video call with one of the main account managers. I was logged in early, but they had issues with their video and sound, so we switched to a regular phone call. I was prepped with my portfolio to present but couldn't because of the tech issues. It was a bit of a mess, but they were understanding. Even though I mentioned my reservations about the job, specifically about not being perfect with the language skills needed, they assured me it wouldn't be a problem. They also mentioned in an email that my resume looked strong technically, but they wanted to gauge my instructional design experience better. The interview started with some tough questions like, "If what you're doing now is different from what the job offers, how would you bridge that gap?" It made me wonder why they'd set up a meeting if there was such a mismatch. Then, the punchline: despite me raising my concerns about the language skills upfront, they decided not to move forward because they wanted someone without those language concerns. It was a polite rejection, which was better than waiting for an email. On a positive note, they mentioned they might have another digital transformation project where I could fit in.

Evaluation Associate
The interview process was terrible and inequitable. I played phone tag with HR to set up a one-sided interview. I interviewed with the Hiring Manager twice, who stressed the hybrid nature of the position even though the team was remote and they offered no relocation. I had to do an unpaid assignment: a presentation on tackling an evaluation, recorded myself, and sent it to them. Then, I was ghosted for a month past the expected response date. HR called me randomly on a Wednesday evening to give 'feedback' that I lacked 'experience' compared to others. The position was then reposted as REMOTE because they couldn't find candidates with more 'experience'. It's disappointing and shameful that they'd put me through multiple interviews and unpaid work if I didn't have enough experience. This organization needs to develop better leaders internally.

Chief Information Officer
Submitted an online application and a separate video response to a set of questions. It's good if the questions are slightly generic. Like all the online applications systems I’ve used there is a lot of poor process design by the provider of the service and not enough flexibility in how to provide a good/honest representation of yourself. In several places you can not be truthful since you have to choose between a set of incorrect options. Overall a decent way to get to a short list. Good feedback when not selected.

Coordinator
Honestly, not a fan of how long they tend to drag out the hiring process... I applied months ago and only heard back two months after applying. I went through three rounds of interviews (and there were still more to go) for a job that paid very little. I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone, there are just too many people involved in the process... they don't really seem to know what they want. They'll ghost you for months with no explanation...
- Can you tell me about a time you had to work with difficult coworkers?
