First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CBRE.
Industrial Placement Student
There were 3 stages in the interview process. First, an online assessment that covered both quantitative and qualitative skills. Then, a questionnaire with 2-3 questions. If you passed that, you went to the final interview with a director and your potential line manager. This last part was mostly behavioral questions and a discussion about your CV.
- What is your interest in Real Estate?
- Why are you interested in this specific role and company?
Intern
So basically there was a Hirevue, then a zoom interview that was very behavioral. After that, I never heard back even though I followed up. I applied to a bunch of locations and the process was the same everywhere. You just gotta know about the company and your resume.
- Can you tell me a bit about yourself?
- What is your motivation for applying to CBRE?
Intern
So first you do the online application. Then there's like a recruiter phone screen to see if you're a good fit. After that, you do a more in-depth phone or video call with the hiring manager. Sometimes they'll give you a skills test or something to do related to the job. If you pass that, you go for on-site interviews with the team, and they'll ask you about how you'd handle certain situations. Then they do reference and background checks, and if all that's good, they'll give you a job offer, which you can sometimes negotiate. After you accept, there's onboarding.
- Can you give me an overview of your resume?
