I interviewed for a winter 2025 spring internship in a legacy Marcum office in the fall of 2024. The interview was in person and it consisted of two parts. 1 hour with the tax senior manager and a tax senior, then about another hour with the tax partner. Overall, everyone was easygoing, and they encouraged me to ask questions during the majority of the interview. The few question that they did ask me were based on what was listed on my resume.

I applied through my school's business knight platform. The process took 2 weeks. The first round interview was very short. The interviewer didn't ask me many questions and told me she would recommend me to the next round. But after two weeks of waiting full of hope and I received the rejection email today. This is one of the weirdest experiences I have had but still thank for CBIZ giving me an opportunity of interview.

It was a phone interview. The interviewer started by introducing the company and the role. Then, they asked some basic questions about my location preferences and salary expectations, and how I found out about the job. They also went over my resume and asked if I had any questions. The interviewer was friendly and the questions were pretty straightforward.

Confirmed questions3 questions
  • Are you able to relocate for this role?
  • What are your salary expectations?
  • Could you tell me about your experience at XXX company?
