First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at CBG Building Company.
Project Engineer
I first got connected with CBG at a college career fair where I had an initial interview. After that, I was invited to their main office for a second round of interviews. This second part was all one-on-one, and I met with several members of Senior Management individually. They were all very nice and professional. What really stood out to me and made me want to join the company was how much they emphasized their commitment to my career development, rather than just focusing on what I could do for them.
- What aspects of the construction industry do you find appealing, and what aspects do you find unappealing?
Project Engineer
First interview was a general one, and then there was a follow-up after a phone call. It was a quick 'get to know you' type of interview, and the supervisor asked specific questions about how an employee should handle different situations. I'm not sure if others had the same experience.
- Would you help a colleague with their project task if it meant it would interfere with your ability to complete your own project tasks?
Project Engineer
It was super simple, I interviewed through my university's career fair. They asked very direct questions and were very knowledgeable. The interviewers had been at the company for some time and spoke very highly of their time with the company and the type of people there.
