I had a 30-minute phone call. First, for about 5 minutes, they asked me to talk about my background and current job. Then, for the next 20 minutes, it was technical questions. The last 2 minutes were for me to ask my questions. The interviewer was kind of rude and couldn't explain what the company makes or the problems they solve.

I had a few interviews and it was pretty smooth, and I got to learn about the company and they learned about me, plus got feedback between each interview. First up, I had a call with the Director of Platform Engineering. They asked me some frontend stuff and also about culture fit. It was technical but chill, like the rest of the interviews. The recruiter got back to me the same day and set up the Day 0 round. For Day 0, I joined a Slack channel and had to do a dev challenge in a set amount of time. It was a good test of skills and time management. Day 0 also included a coffee break chat with a Machine Learning Engineer and Director of Operations. It was a nice break and a good way to learn about the company culture. After Day 0, I had two more interviews back-to-back with a Frontend Engineer and a Machine Learning Engineer. They asked technical and non-technical questions to get a good look at my skills and how I approach development. Then I had another call with the Director of Platform Engineering to demo my Day 0 work and answer implementation questions. Soon after, the recruiter shared feedback from all interviews and set up my next meetings with the CTO and CEO. The CTO call started with a big open-ended full stack question that we refined to understand my experience, then finished with questions about my motivations and culture fit. The CEO interview was brief and to the point, mainly checking if my goals matched the company's and what they could offer for my career. It was a great interview series with a good mix of questions. Everyone was passionate and easy to talk to. The recruiter was very considerate, helpful, and quick, and I really liked getting constructive feedback throughout.

I got an online interview invite from the MLE director back in April 2022. The interview felt pretty unprofessional, which made me want to share my experience. It started with some questions about my background, and then I was asked to talk about my projects. While I was explaining them, I noticed the director was overreacting a lot, not really listening, and didn't seem serious at all. It was quite a scene. I got a rejection email about 5 minutes after the interview. Looking back at all the interviews I had around that time, this was the only bad one.
