Castro & Company Interview Questions

I'm a college senior graduating in December. I first spoke with a recruiter at my school's career fair. About a week later, the recruiter reached out via email to see if I wanted to know more about Castro. We then had an informal meeting where we talked about my interests and she answered my questions about Castro. Another week passed, and then after I asked for an update, I got an offer two weeks later.

Applied online and they were super responsive. Had a 30 minute phone screen with the recruiter. They asked me about my resume and past work experience. The recruiter was really nice and easy to chat with.

I applied on Indeed and heard back quickly for a phone screen the next day. The day after that call, I got an email for an in-person interview. The whole thing was super fast and everyone was really nice. They really do have an open-door policy. Two things I wish I knew: 1. They don't pay for travel to the interview, which I thought was a bummer as an undergrad but probably shouldn't have. I'd ask to Skype if you can't travel, they seem flexible. I later realized the accounting job market in DC is super crowded, so that's probably why they don't cover travel. 2. Do more salary research. The Glassdoor tool is better than a general calculator, which I used and ended up asking for too much. 53-55k is right for entry-level associates, don't compare to Big Four salaries. Seems like a good place to work, don't let other reviews scare you.

She asked a bunch of questions related to the job. After that, I had an in-person interview at Castro & Company's office. The whole thing took about two weeks, and it was a really good experience.
