Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Castle Group.
Executive Assistant
I interviewed with the CEO. He was rude, insulting, condescending, and smug. He bragged about his wealth, connections, and spending power. I have 25 years of experience as an EA, but he claimed he would never have selected my resume and that I only got an interview by accident. He snooped at my background on Zoom to see where I was temping and then mentioned he knew people at that company. It was a terrible experience.
- What makes you so special?
- Why should I hire you, considering I would never have picked your resume?
- Are you a job hopper?
Administrative Assistant
It wasn't a typical interview. It felt more like, let me see what this person looks like and their personality. It was very rushed. Interviewer kept looking at her watch. Another candidate was walking in as I was leaving. I was left feeling pretty good but unsure at the same time since nothing much was asked. Interviewer said she would contact everyone by Monday (regardless if got the job or not). Nothing crickets even after a follow up email.
- Do you know how an HOA operates?
Administrative Assistant
Very detailed. They really know how to ask the right questions to get the proper candidate. Behavior, technical, customer service. All the target questions. Very relaxed atmosphere. Positive environment.
- How did you like administrative work and how do you keep organized?
