I sent in my application and heard back from Scott, the Talent Acquisition Manager, via email. First, I had to do a writing assignment that was basically asking how I'd reply to a customer's question to check my initial reactions. After that, I had a 30-minute phone chat with Scott. It was pretty relaxed, and we talked about the job and what it involves, plus my background and experience. Then, I was asked to come to the office to meet some of the CX team. I met with three pairs of CX employees for 30 minutes each on the nice roof area. We chatted about my experience and some general interview questions. Finally, I went back one more time to meet the CX manager, director, and a co-founder, which was about an hour and a half. By then, I felt like I knew Casper as well as they knew me, and I could tell it was a good fit! Everyone I met was really interested, enthusiastic, and welcoming, but they also asked really thoughtful interview questions, not necessarily tough ones, but the kind that showed they were serious about finding the right person.

So first I had a phone interview, then a skype interview, then an on-location interview, and then another skype interview. It was my peer, a junior person at the company, who finally made the decision. The manager really dropped the ball. This whole thing took way too long and cost me money for travel. The leadership on this team is pretty bad, they couldn't make up their minds and kept passing the buck. Communication must be terrible too because they asked me the same questions on different days.

The interview process was straightforward, involving three interviews. It started with a screen call with HR, followed by a Skype interview with a team lead, and concluded with an in-person meeting with the team at their office. The people I met were very friendly, welcoming, and professional, and the office atmosphere was quite nice. It was a really positive experience overall, very transparent and responsive from Casper.
