So basically, I had a recruiter call first and then they set up the first round with a team member, which was good. Then they set up a second round with the manager, but he didn't show up. So we had to reschedule. The next time, the manager showed up, but he had to leave because of an incident. So we had to reschedule again. After two weeks, they emailed me saying they went with another candidate.

I had an initial phone screen with their talent acquisition person back in August. They mentioned I'd be speaking with the hiring manager and VP next. However, I didn't hear back for weeks. When I followed up, they said everyone was on vacation and that an interview would be scheduled soon. Then, I was ghosted again for a couple of weeks. When I reached out again, they gave another excuse about the week being chaotic and offered only one time slot the following week, which was the entire week. I couldn't make that time work and wasn't keen on rearranging my schedule given my experience with them so far. I told the contact I wasn't available and asked for other times, but then got an out-of-office reply. I never heard back after that and moved on to other opportunities.

The interview involved standard Java-focused questions along with some soft skill inquiries. It was generally straightforward but demanded significant confidence and a solid grasp of Java development and its internal workings. The focus was primarily on object-oriented programming, threads, data types, and the Spring framework.

First, an HR call to go over my general qualifications. Then, a manager interview where they asked me behavioral questions. Lastly, a technical interview where I was asked C++ and C# questions. They weren't super hard but definitely required some thought. They also had me do a live coding exercise. The problem wasn't too simple or too difficult.
