Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cascadia Capital.
Analyst
We had a recruiter call, then an Associate and VP phone interview. The final round was a super day where I had lunch with associates.
- What are valuation methods, and what are the different ones?
- Can you tell me why you are interested in banking?
- Why did you choose our firm?
Summer Analyst
Had two phone call screens, then a quasi-superday with 3-4 back-to-back 30 min interviews at the office. It was a very technical interview so make sure to be brushed up on IB technical interview questions and accounting knowledge.
- What are the differences in valuing a tech startup versus a cement manufacturer?
- Could you share the last book you read?
- What are the main valuation methodologies used?
Analyst
The interview went well, and the people were very nice and easy to talk to. I appreciated their kindness. I was nervous at first, but once we started talking, it was fine. They wanted to know why I was interested in the role.
- Can you give me an overview of your resume?
