First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Cascade Energy.
SEM Engineer
It was a 2-stage interview process. First, a recruiter called to talk about my past roles, responsibilities, general fit, and personality. Then, I had a 1-hour Excel test. After that, a panel interview with 3 people happened over Teams. I had to give a 10-minute presentation, and the whole interview was about 60 minutes. It felt like a relaxed, professional chat. The company communicated well, even though they told me two hours after the interview that they went with someone else.
- How do you decide which tasks to work on first when you have multiple things assigned to you?
Program Analyst
The interview process was quite lengthy, spanning several rounds and extending over two months before an offer was extended. All interviews were conducted remotely and were in a panel format. The interview was a panel type and lasted over 2 months.
- Could you describe your familiarity with SharePoint Online and analytics, and detail your proficiency in Excel, providing specific examples?
- What's your experience level with SharePoint Online and analytics, and how would you rate your Excel skills, with examples?
- Share your experience with SharePoint Online and analytics. What's your Excel experience like? Give examples.
Customer Success Specialist
This role had a 2-stage interview process. First, a phone call with a recruiter to talk about past roles, responsibilities, and general fit. They laid out the role, salary, and timeline very transparently. Then, a 90-minute Teams interview with 4 people. It included a 10-15 minute presentation and felt more like a conversation. The hardest part for me was switching to presentation mode and then back to interview mode. Cascade was very transparent and respectful of everyone's time and effort, showing they value individuals.
- Tell me about how you'd manage customer troubleshooting scenarios.
- Describe your approach to customer onboarding.
- How would you deal with common customer issues?
Project Engineer
First, I had a phone chat with someone. Then, I had to send in my college transcript, some writing samples, and complete an Excel task. After that, I did a video interview with 6 people. Finally, there was a one-on-one video call to go over the "day in the life" stuff. It's important to know that this job involves a lot of dealing with hard-to-please or unwilling customers, and in the interviews, they really want to know how persuasive you are and if you can win them over. They didn't mention this part at all in the job ad or during the first phone screen.
- Can you share examples of times you've had to deal with challenging or uncooperative customers?
- Tell me about a time you successfully convinced someone to see your point of view or take a certain action.
