First, there was a phone interview to see if I was a fit. Then, I had an in-person meeting with my direct supervisor and also met with the Division Manager on the same day. I heard that sometimes they put up to three candidates in one room and interview them one by one, but in my case, it was just me and one other candidate.

The interview process was pretty disorganized and slow, it took ages to get any response. The Sales Manager who interviewed me didn't seem to have a great grasp of the role or strong skills. Their answers were vague, and I wasn't really sure what they were looking for afterwards. The manager seemed a bit scattered and uncertain. It didn't feel like a place where people were happy, as nobody was particularly friendly. The pay was surprisingly low for a company of this size.

A Carrier recruiting representative reached out to me on LinkedIn, even though I'm not actively seeking new opportunities. They expressed interest in my experience for a specific position. I mentioned a potential concern regarding my candidacy, but they assured me it wouldn't be an issue. I was then asked to complete an application via their portal and schedule a follow-up call. The application process was tedious, involving about 30 minutes of copying and pasting my resume and duplicating information already on my LinkedIn profile, which I find inefficient as an initial step. We initially scheduled a call, but the recruiter missed it, causing a 20-minute delay. They later apologized and rescheduled for the next day. However, early that morning, I received an email stating that Carrier would not proceed with my application, prior to the rescheduled call and without any direct communication from the recruiter. This approach felt unprofessional.
