First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Carnival Cruise Line.
Recruiter
So I had a two-part interview process with Carnival Cruise Line. The first interview was great, the interviewer was really engaging and made me feel comfortable. They actually found me on LinkedIn and said I seemed like a good fit based on my profile. They also said they were impressed with my background and qualifications, which was a nice start. The second interview was different though. I felt prepared and comfortable, but the two interviewers had a weird vibe. The junior interviewer was nice and seemed impressed, but the senior interviewer was kind of closed off and hesitant, even though she tried to be pleasant. I felt like she was skeptical and it made me wonder if I'd fit with the team. Honestly, I don't know if I'd want to work with someone who seems so guarded and unwelcoming. After all, bad bosses make people leave jobs. Unsurprisingly, I didn't get the job after the second interview, and I guess it's for the best. I'm thankful for the experience and meeting the team, but I'm sure I dodged a bullet. Pros: Friendly first interviewer, got to show my skills, they reached out proactively. Cons: Awkwardness with senior interviewer, felt like a bad sign.

The interview process at Carnival Cruise Line is quite involved. It includes several interviews with various team members and different ways of communicating. The questions themselves aren't too difficult, but it can take a while, so you need to be patient. Plan on multiple rounds, starting with initial screenings, then moving to panel interviews, and then some follow-up steps. It's all pretty organized, but it does take a long time, so be ready for them to really look into things.

The hiring process was really quick, I applied and was done within a week. It started with a required info session with a recruiter where they went over the job details, pay, qualifications, and schedule. After that, I got a request for a self-paced video interview that had some questions and games. If I passed that, there was a virtual interview with a manager. Then, after passing that, I received a computer literacy test and then a conditional offer letter once I passed that stage. The whole process was super fast. The recruiters were really nice and communicated great.
