Strategy Analyst
It was a quick phone screen, then a behavioral and case study round. I didn't get past the first round, which was a site selection problem. Make sure you can do the minor math details, understand full business context because the wording is strange and confusing, and make sure that you align with the culture well with the required research. The interviewer doesn’t have the patience in solving the math even if questions discussed were aligned.
- Can you share an instance where you had to deliver something quickly and how you managed your time?
Strategy Manager
The interview process started with a recruiter call, followed by a first interview that included one case study and a couple of behavioral questions. The super day consisted of two more case studies and behavioral questions, totaling about 5 hours of interviews. My experience was pretty standard, except one interviewer missed the meeting and we had to reschedule and fit them in later. The job was listed for Dallas, Atlanta, and Richmond. When I mentioned I preferred Atlanta over Richmond, the interviewers seemed to lose interest. It was a bit strange; one interviewer spent 15 minutes discussing his background and then told me not to discuss mine as it would be covered in other interviews. All interviewers had been with the company for over 15 years and appeared somewhat insecure about it. I also couldn't grasp the specific role due to a very vague job posting, and my questions about it were never answered. Despite the weirdness, it was good practice.
- Tell me about the Bridge.
- Calculate the break-even point for a car loan interest.
- What about 100 paintings?
Corporate Strategy Manager
So after I applied, there were several steps. First, there was an online quantitative assessment which was a timed multiple choice test. Then, a recruiter called me for a phone screen with some general questions. After that, I had a 50-minute phone interview that included a case study, and it was really heavy on quantitative stuff. Finally, the on-site interview had one behavioral interview and two case interviews. These cases weren't like typical consulting ones, more math-based, kind of like Capital One's cases. There was also a lunch, but that wasn't part of the evaluation.
- A very quant heavy case study with probability scenarios was presented.
