The phone interview was super positive. I really thought I was a shoo-in because my background is perfect and I've always been a top performer. They really grilled me, though, asking a ton of personal stuff and digging way into my past. It's weird, but after seeing how my friends got treated by CarMax after buying cars, I get why I wasn't hired – I guess I was just too honest. My friends have had nothing but trouble with their cars from them. So, I'm actually glad I didn't get the job, and I'll never buy a car from them. All I can say is they didn't hire me because I was too honest.

The staff were super nice. It was a long interview process with a total of 3 interviews and a sales demonstration to finish it up. They didn't talk about compensation until the 3rd interview. After the onsite, they'd provide 6 weeks of training.
