The recruiter, Experis, initially misrepresented compensation expectations. The application involved an IQ test. Then there was a long interview process where I was asked about the company's current tech problems, making it seem like I was working as an unpaid consultant. The role had piled-on responsibilities for failing teams and reported to a failing manager. The final offer was low-ball, matching the recruiter's initial number. The recruiter called without permission and set up a group call to pressure me into accepting the low offer. I emailed about my value and was ghosted. I got another offer with 4x the compensation.

If this is the company you want to work for expect a lengthy interview process. 1-2 months, multiple interviews and also online tests and assessments to complete. You will start with a couple assessments, a phone screening and then a phone interview. Another assessment to pass and then a long multi person interview with those in leadership roles above your position. Part of the interview is getting to know you and standard interview questions. The second half is based off information you will be given during the interview and you will role play how you would handle a few different scenarios.

Behavioral Technical Presentation

I applied on LinkedIn and got a call from the recruiter a few days later. They asked basic background questions, then basically said they knew I was the one. Next, I interviewed with an HR rep who told me they'd set up my onsite interview. This involved a 4-hour session at the center with a department manager and then an Ops manager, where I also took an assessment. Following that, I had to travel 3 hours to meet with the RVP. The RVP and HR conducted a 1.5-hour interview, during which the RVP discussed training and weekend home visits. Then, abruptly, they said they had others in the pipeline and would be in touch, which made me realize it was over. They put me through all this after I'd been unemployed for 5 months due to downsizing.
