Candidate interview experiences
First-hand accounts from people who interviewed at Carle Health.
Registered Nurse
It was a straightforward interview where they explained the department dynamics. They kept it brief but answered all my questions professionally. I've been in my department since.
- Tell me about a time you made a mistake.
Nurse
It's a pretty lengthy process with multiple interviews spread over several weeks. There's one initial phone interview, followed by two more interviews conducted via Zoom. Additionally, there's a potential for a job shadow, depending on how things progress through the interviews.
- Can you share an instance where you made an error and describe how you managed the situation?
Registered Nurse
The first interview was with the HR nurse recruiter, then I went to the unit manager's office for an interview with her. Both interviews were professional. They asked questions about how I'd handle common situations and about my work history. Now they also have a peer interview where current unit employees can ask questions to see if I'd be a good fit for the unit. This is followed by a background check and then an offer.
- Can you tell me about an area where you think you could improve.
