After an initial HR screen, I had a very strange interview with the hiring manager. He only asked one or two questions and was condescending. He made it seem like they already had candidates who were further along in the process and he was just interviewing me because it was on his calendar. It felt like a waste of time.

The interview process was quite disappointing. On the scheduled day of the first interview, the recruiter didn't initiate contact. I had to reach out to confirm, only to be told she couldn't make it and we needed to reschedule for the next day. I ended up waiting for about an hour on the first day. The following day, I waited for 20 minutes before she called. She apologized, mentioning other candidates, which I understand. However, her questions suggested she hadn't reviewed my resume. The call was very brief, maybe ten minutes, and she quickly ended it by saying she had other calls and would follow up. I was not impressed with how it concluded. It's been over two weeks since that interview, and I haven't heard anything from Caris. While I don't want to dismiss the company, as it seems to do good work, I must express my disappointment with the lack of professionalism shown during this interview process.

It was a conversational interview with relevant questions mixed in while we got to know each other. They wanted to know why you definitely want the job and used real-world previous experience to better understand your qualifications.
