The first interview was a phone call with the recruiter at CareTech Solutions. Then, there were two more interviews in person with the department you would be working with. The interview process was pretty straightforward, and there weren't any surprises. They really just wanted to make sure I had the experience needed for the role.

Agency reached out for a quick interview. I did a presentation and spent about two and a half hours in the interview. It was a good experience with a Director. They said they'd make a quick decision because the project was urgent. They mentioned a head of department would call the next day to answer questions. The call was unexpected, they talked about a role that wasn't what I interviewed for. The caller seemed threatened by my skills. I was told I'd know in 4 days. After waiting over two weeks and chasing them, the agency told me the role was re-evaluated to a much lower level. They initially offered a higher level, but I could take the job at a junior level for £15k less. No other feedback was given.

So basically they want to see if you have customer service experience. They ask some basic questions from your resume. Then you do a written technical aptitude test on the computer. When you're done, you lock the computer. If you pass, they'll call you back and you start basic training for about 1-2 weeks. After that, you have account training that can last 1-3 months. During that time you shadow and then start taking calls.

After applying online, I got a call from the recruiter. Then I had a phone interview with the hiring manager and a technical engineer. After that, there was an in-person interview. I was supposed to have a third interview with the Director/CIO, but instead, it was a video chat with the tech.
